What you think and say to yourself matters. Where are you getting your value or self-worth? Your possessions, your job, or position? Are you thinking of how you ‘think’ others think about you? Confusing, right? Needless to say, this can drive you crazy and make you feel terrible. So STOP.
Here is truth!
You are a child of God!
You are special and unique – Jeremiah 1:5 …“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; (FYI – there are NO duplicate fingerprints =)
You are loved – John 3:16 …For God so loved the world… that is YOU! (insert your name)
You are the ‘apple’ of His eye. Zech. 2:8 …. Lord Almighty says…. for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye. (Isn’t that a lovely thought?)
You are creative – Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth… then verse 26, Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness… (We are created in His image.. therefore we are creative – isn’t that so cool!)
You have power – Ps. 68:35 …God gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God! (That is you and me!)
You have a future and hope – Jer. 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Yippee – that is exciting!)

You might want to keep a running list of your gifts and talents, the things you love, and the things you love to do. Add to it as God reveals more to you.
Think on the really excellent people in your life, those people who always make you feel better. Think on the good, the excellent, the higher, the better… all things noble. Now how do you feel?
–Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8 (This includes what you think about yourself.)
Like the ATT commercial… Is thinking good better… or thinking bad? I think the kids would say… “GOOD”.
