Change – many people like it, some are resistant, some hate it, and some won’t even think about it. Which are you?
As I was getting my nails done last week, my nail tech and I talked about this. There are so many people who are unhappy, hate their their job, their status in life, and tell us about it all the time. There are those that want more but don’t do anything about it. In my years in Mary Kay, and as I travel the country, I have worked with a lot of women. What I’ve found is that many times a woman would rather stay in the ‘known’, even though she is unhappy, than take a chance for happiness in the ‘unknown’.
Sure change can be scary and overwhelming, but it can also be invigorating and wonderful. It can open doors of opportunities that can enrich your life and take you to new places. Personally, I love change. Bill and I are risk takers, we like to step out of our comfort zone and mix things up a bit.
Some of you who know us may laugh at this as our day to day life is actually rather calm and sometimes seems boring. We don’t go out a lot, or do adventure vacations. We tend to step out in the bigger things. If you’ve read my blog a while you’ll remember we have moved over a dozen times and have owned a couple of companies. I’ll talk to you sometime about the other personal changes I have been making as well.
Here’s a couple of thoughts for you
- What would you like to change in your life?
- What would that change look like?
- What is ONE step you could take today that could move toward that change? (For instance, if you are seeking better health, maybe today drink more water, etc)
You have a choice, Yes you do. You can stay where you are and keep getting what you’ve got (the definition of insanity being, if you keep on doing what you are doing, you will keep getting what you’ve got)
Or you can make one small change today, and then keep making small changes. Next week, next month, next year, your life will be different based on the choices you are making today. (Oh that sounds like song…… maybe I’ll write one =)

Thanks Dianne- You are right- Never against God’s plans- I think He is always stretching us and taking us out of our comfort zone so we can do and be more.
