SHE LET GO
She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.
She let go of fear. She let go of the judgments.
She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.
She let go of the committee of indecision within her.
She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely,
Wholly and completely,
without hesitation or worry, she just let go.
(continued below)
So many times we feel stress or anxious, and often we really don’t know why. We feel like we are climbing uphill or hitting a wall in various parts of our life. I think many times it is because we are holding on so tight that we are closing ourselves off. Sometimes we are grabbing and controlling, and maybe we don’t even see it.
I love this poem. There is no author to give credit to, so if you know who it is please let me know.
If you read to the end, I think you may feel a little tightness begin to loosen up. When we ‘Let Go’ we open ourselves up to blessings and new opportunities. When we Let Go, God can soothe our heart and soul. When we Let Go – Peace can come it.
She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a
book on how to let go… She didn’t search the scriptures.
She just let go.
She let go of all of the memories that held her back.
She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.
She didn’t promise to let go.
She didn’t journal about it.
She didn’t write the projected date in her day-timer.
She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.
She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.
She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.
She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.
She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.
She didn’t call the prayer line.
She didn’t utter one word. She just let go.
No one was around when it happened.
There was no applause or congratulations.
No one thanked her or praised her.
No one noticed a thing.
Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.
There was no effort. There was no struggle.
It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad.
It was what it was, and it is just that.
In the space of letting go, she let it all be.
A small smile came over her face.
A light breeze blew through her.
And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.
Here’s to giving ourselves the gift of letting go…
There’s only one guru ~ you.

Hi Dianne and thank you for your gifted words. It is an encouragement to others to read how each of us experience these steps in our lives. Thanks for your openness and sharing your heart. Blessings!
Thank you Sherry for letting me know who wrote this- and thanks to Rev. Safire Rose- Kudos to her!
Also thanks Sherry for sharing your story and your heart- May we all continue to Let Go of the areas where we want to control and hang on. Blessings
This fits me to a tee Delinda~thanks…..It’s personal and real~many years ago when I let go and let God! I can so relate in that quiet time when no one knew, no one applauds for my acts of love, no physical embrace….just knowing God embraces me with his so closeness of assurances that we will never be separated; is a great feeling of Knowing he is there always! With Jesus as my Savior, is all I need to make it through a tough day. What He wants from me here as long as I am here, I believe is for His plan for training and a helper folks to be at a high level than they can even imagine, His purpose for my willing vessel will be to His Glory, But, first I had to believe…..then let go and breathe! Thx again dear sweet Christian friend Delinda for this well needed poem! Stay Blessed, Dianne
The poem was witten by: Rev. Safire Rose.
I first read it a few months ago at which time I experienced a revival of thoughts and feelings. I truly experienced LETTING GO in 1997.
Oh the freedom – the freedom between myself and God – I LET GO and realized that life was what I was going to make of it….Comtrol? Don’t need it. Healthy boundaries? Yes. For the things I have no control over – that’s okay too… because God does have ultimate control over a willing life….MY willing life – to become all He placed me on this earth to become. Glory !!!!
