How far would you go…to defend your belief in God?
While in Kansas City I had a few hours to fill while waiting for some friends and decided to go to a movie. I am so glad I did. I left feeling uplifted and proud to be a Christian, and wanting to share this story… and His story.
SYNOPSIS:
Present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day, or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that “God Is Dead,” he must prove God’s existence by presenting well-researched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-to-head debate in front of the class.
That is a pretty daunting assignment. He is tested, rejected, and alienated from his friends and family. Wouldn’t it be easier to just write the words down… whether you mean it or not?
It’s a movie that makes you think. What would I do? How can I make more of a difference? How would I stand up to rejection? Could I make a case FOR Christ?
Then there is a the challenge at the end…. if you believe it – sent it out…
So my friends here it is
God’s NOT Dead!
Hallelujah and Amen! We are approaching the passion week, the death and Resurrection of Jesus – WOW! God’s NOT Dead, He is alive, in our hearts, and changing the world!
Here is the theme song from the movie – Enjoy and be blessed!

(OH, and I found it really interesting, at the end of the movie, there is a list of court cases where Christians are trying to be treated equally, and where their ‘rights’ are being violated, similar to what is shown in this film. Ummm, freedom of religion to all groups… except Christians… but that is another blog for another day)
‘Til Next Time. . .
HAVE A BLESSED DAY !
