This is Thanksgiving week.  There will be celebrations all over the country, lots of meals shared, stories told, and lots of laughter.  This is a time of reflection and many of us make lists.  Here is my partial gratitude list.

.

I am thankful for

  • You , my readers of the blog,  supporters, and encouragers, thanks for staying with me.

  • My great hubby, Bill

  • My kids, Alicia, Justin and my sweet daughter in law, Emily, and granddaughter Caitri

  • My Mother and sister, and her son, Brighton

  • My brother Greg, his wife Paula, and the whole family  

  • All my cousins all around the country, many I have seen in the last few months, and those I haven’t seen in years.  

  • Wonderful friends at church, too many to list, but you all know who you are – I’m sending hugs your way.

  • Pastors at our church who lead us and share God’s Word

  • Friends in KC, again, I can’t make a total list, but know how much I value our friendship

  • Friends of the heart, that we can go months without seeing each other, and still pick up the conversation as if it was yesterday

  • I am thankful for Freedom, living in a country where we can worship freely and openly.

Most of all I am thankful to be a child of God, daughter of the King, and joint heir with Christ.  (Romans 8:17)  

 

Thank you Lord for saving my soul,

Thank You Lord for making me whole

Thank You Lord for giving to me,

Thy great salvation so rich and free

 .

STOP and take a look…

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

 

Yes, it is Thanksgiving week, a time when we stop and take a moment to look around and count our blessings.  I’ve always loved the idea of keeping a ‘Gratitude’ journal, however,  I start one and then forget to write in it everyday, That’s one of my consistently ‘inconsistent’ things.  Although, I may not write in it everyday, I am grateful and thank the Lord everyday for His blessings and the miracles that I see.

Brian Kell, who is the drummer at our church, and I have written a song ‘God’s Miracles’.  Brian is totally responsible for the upbeat ‘drive’ of the song, and I wrote the words.  Here’s a little clip of the song from our Las Vegas, Fun Fearless Female – WOW the WORLD Conference — the full version of the song will be released soon, but it seemed appropriate to share the song.  “God’s Miracles” and blessings are all around, we just need to stop and notice.

Thank you for being part of  my life.  It is a joy to share life with you in this way. I’m always surprised when someone tells me about something they read, or makes a comment about the blog.  There are so many great things out there in the cyber-world to read and enjoy, and I am honored that you take your precious time to read mine. You are a beautiful child of God, a blessing, and I am thankful for you!

Wonder

Today I am here at the Newport Beach.  Always in awe of the beauty… the majesty… the sun, the ocean, the sand… everything.  A Creator who put everything in balance.  How the waves roll in and out, how the earth turns, perfect.

It is my husband, Bill’s, 70th birthday!  The kids just surprised him at the airport in KC, and they are now boarding the plane to head out here.

So, while I wait for their plane to land,  I am going to head out to the water, soak in a little more beauty, watch the sunset… and breathe… pray.. and bask in His Glory!

Balloons & Birthdays!

It’s my birthday and I am glad to be alive! Everyday is a blessing and an opportunity to make a difference!  The truth is I love the Lord, love life, and love sharing His message of joy and hope to others. 
Today is a little different writing day as I’ve had some people ask me questions, just little ‘tidbits’ or ‘bullets’ of information, so I thought I’d share with you.

FUN FACTS

  • Love balloons

  • My first ‘official solo’ Junior High Youth Choir
  • ​My Dad was in the Air Force
  • Graduated with music degree from Louisiana College
  • Moved over 20 times
  • Like to roller skate
