God Loves You
YES! He Is!
WOW! What a glorious day! I love Easter! It’s my favorite holiday! A celebration of life and hope!
YES! He is Alive!
YES! He is Risen! Hallelujah!
YES! He is Lord!
If it weren’t for Easter, there would be no need for Christmas. Jesus would be just some other prophet or teacher. But He lives!
Yes! He is Everything!
I have a song I want to share with you. I promise that I won’t be putting music and songs for all my posts, but I can’t resist during this special and holy time. I’m a singer, I love to worship and praise our Risen Lord – just can’t help myself. (Next week I’ll get back to my regular writing.)
The beautiful music and orchestration in the following song was written by Larry Walker, for a citywide Easter sunrise service here in Las Vegas. The words are the Lord’s, given to me. Thank you Jesus! Lord, You Are! Everything!
YOU ARE!
Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!

I Will Remember…
I WILL REMEMBER
written by Joanna Carlson
This is a song I recorded last year, written by Joanna Carlson. I share it with you because this is Holy week and I want to remember. I want to be really mindful of what this time means to us as Believers. To take some time each day to reflect and to think, to pay attention.
I started watching Christian movies this weekend, and am going to continue throughout this week. Now I realize that ‘movies’ aren’t the true scripture and they aren’t the perfect representation of God’s Word, far from it. ONLY His Word is that. So of course, I will be reading the Word, the Bible, and asking God to show me what He has for me.
The thing is that movies help me, as a visual learner, to see the pictures of the events. Several have been really bad, and some of them really good. Sunday night I watched The Passion of the Christ. It broke my heart. It is so visual, makes it so real. It made me appreciate His sacrifice all the more.
It made me weep for my Savior, to think He chose to endure the ridicule, the pain, the suffering and rejection… for me and for you. He didn’t have to, He chose to. Not only that, but it showed the inhumanity of man toward each other. They laughed at Him, enjoyed causing Him pain, they wanted to kill Him. Why as people do we do this to each other? Why do we bomb each other? Why do people go into schools and community centers and kill? Why do men kidnap and force young girls into sex trafficking? Our world is fallen. It is evil.
That why He came. To save us… from sin… from ourselves.
So this week I want to remember His pain, His sacrifice, and most of all His Love! Love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my heart, my all.
‘Til Next Time. . .
HAVE A BLESSED DAY !

40 Days of Love … Kindness
LENT – I was raised in the Baptist Church, Southern Baptist, to be exact, and we never really talked about Lent, the 40 days of preparation, or ‘giving up’ something during that time. I had friends that went to the Catholic Church, and they would always give up something during that time to focus on preparation and to take a little more time in prayer. Somehow I just didn’t ‘get it’.
As I continue on my spiritual journey, I find I want to spend a little time and more focus during this time. When I lived in Chicago my neighbor Susie and I went to a Non-Denom church where I grew more in understanding and decided to make some changes and decisions about what I’d like to do during this time.
So I decided to ‘give up’ something, but I also decided to follow an idea my friend Joy shared with me. She ‘Gives’ something of herself each day of Lent. I love that. She does a random act of kindness each day. So I decided to do ‘something special’, a ‘kindness’, share a little of His love each day. It may be to a stranger, friend , or family member, maybe write a card of encouragement or call someone I know needs a friend. I pray God will move in my spirit and show me ways to do this. Jesus took these 40 days and because of His love for us, he walked to the cross. I want to think about that, remember that, and show a little more love to others.
Honestly, I have missed a few days, ALREADY, but I know that I am not condemned. I will continue on, and I think I’ll add a day after Easter for each one I miss. Ummmmm, maybe this is a habit that will continue throughout the year. Right now, it’s forty days until Easter… plus the ones I add on.
Just thought I’d let you know.
‘Til next time
BLESSINGS!

Stop the Interruptions – or Not?
Sunday our Pastor shared a story about an interruption… and it turned out to be ministry in the truest sense of the word. A professor shared a thought with him while in Seminary, and it is so true. Like me, maybe you have heard it before, but it truly resonated with me this time. “Ministry happens in the interruptions”. An interruption can be an opportunity to serve.
Let’s think about it.
-
You are headed out of the house … the phone rings and someone has a need. Do we stop and listen? Do we call back?
-
You are in the middle of something, and an email comes through about someone needing help. Do we stop and pray, send a card?
-
You are on an airplane ready to read your book or listen to music, and the person next to you begins to share. Do we pay attention and ‘listen’ to their heart? Is it a God appointment?
I have been praying the Prayer of Jabez, that the Lord would bless me indeed, expand my territory, and expand my sphere of influence for Him. (1 Chronicles 4:10)
The thing is I need to pay attention, become more aware of the interruptions, and be more sensitive to His prompting. It may just be the blessings He has in mind.
These may be promptings in our spirits to stop and pray or to reach out to someone. Sometimes they interrupt our life, our schedule, our plans. Those interruptions may also be the blessing that God has for us. The gift that He has planned for you today.
Til next time
BLESSINGS!
